Arizona State is located is the south western region of the U.S. It is among the Four Corner States and is flanked by states like California, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah; it shares an international border of around three hundred and eighty nine miles with Baja California and Sonora in Mexico State.

Phoenix is the capital of Arizona and is also the largest city of the state. The second biggest city of Arizona is Tucson followed by Glendale, Scottsdale, Tempe, Surprise, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert and Peoria.

It was the last to become a state among the continental United States. It became a state on fourteenth of February in the year 1912 and was the forty eighth state to achieve statehood in U.S.

Arizona State is known for its climate like mild winters and hot summers and for its mountain ranges in the northern part. The pine forests have cool climate whereas in the lower parts where deserts are situated, these areas have high temperatures.

The state of Arizona is the biggest state that is surrounded by land on all sides i.e. it has no coastal border. There are many kinds of parks and monuments like Grand Canyon and national forests that are situated in the Arizona State. Around 1/4th of the region of the state is Federal Trust Land which has accommodated numerous American Indians tribes like Apache, Hopi tribe, Navajo Nation and many others.

Arizona State has fifteen counties. All the counties apart from La Paz County were created after Arizona became a state and many names of the counties give reverence and honor to the native groups that live in the Arizona State.
